Frequently Asked Questions
Do you charge extra for travel?
No — there are no extra travel charges for any town within our standard service area (approximately 30 miles from Clinton). Our shop is centrally located, so most projects are 10-25 minutes away. For extended service area projects (30+ minutes), we evaluate on a case-by-case basis and discuss travel logistics upfront if applicable.
How fast can you come for an estimate?
For core service area towns (Clinton, Sterling, Lancaster, Bolton, Berlin, West Boylston, Hudson, Maynard): typically within 3-5 business days of your call. For Worcester, Leominster, Shrewsbury, and other Worcester County towns: typically within 5-7 business days. During peak season (May-July), scheduling may be slightly longer. We prioritize emergency/urgent assessments (water damage, storm damage) regardless of season.
Do you know my town’s building department?
We’ve pulled permits in every core and Worcester County town listed above. We know the building departments, their processes, typical turnaround times, and inspection expectations. For Middlesex County towns, we’ve worked in most and are familiar with the general process — and for any town that’s new to us, we learn the specific requirements before starting your project.
I’m outside your listed area — will you still come?
Possibly — for larger projects ($20,000+). Call us and describe the project. If the scope justifies the distance, we’re happy to discuss it. For smaller projects, we recommend finding a qualified contractor closer to your location — they’ll serve you more efficiently.
Do you serve Boston or Cape Cod?
No — our service area is central Massachusetts, not eastern MA. Boston and Cape Cod contractors operate in a different market with different pricing and logistics. We focus on Worcester County, Middlesex County, and MetroWest because that’s where we can provide the best service — fast response, local knowledge, and efficient project management.
